"I have had Helen as a teacher for around three years - in this time, I have been able to improve massively, credit to her encouragement and teaching. Her passion for music has given me the enthusiasm to practice, improve my playing and most importantly appreciate what I play. With her focus always on the student, I have been able to chose pieces that I enjoy and are suited to my ability, while she has also helped me to step outside of my comfort zone. Besides focusing on exam repertoire, I have particularly enjoyed discovering a variety of styles, composers and techniques in between exams. Helen always has a creative way of perfecting tricky techniques and guides my practice by setting achievable targets. Her experience and knowledge is evident through the attention to detail she shows, helping me to take my playing to the next level. I always look forward to my lessons, which are both engaging and enjoyable."

"I came to piano lessons aged 48 with no prior musical experience. Learning to play the piano was something I had wanted to do for many years but had never had the time (or confidence). Helen has been great...she has been encouraging, supportive and, best of all, has helped me to realise that the hard work that comes with learning how to play can be fun and enjoyable. I, for one, am loving every minute of it; one of the best decisions I've ever made!"
